The raw material for this beautiful cup is a sedimentary rock that only occurs in a small region of northern Portugal. The slightly structured, natural roughness of the stone gives the cup its characteristic look. The glazing of the plate is done lovingly and traditionally by hand.
Due to the handcrafted nature of the craftsmanship, each piece is unique. Small differences and imperfections in size, shape and texture are normal and give the ceramic tableware character.
